I thought that for more years than I care to admit to ;) I grew up with 'stringy sweet potatoes or yams' - barf food ;) It was all Mom could get me to do to swallow one bite no matter how it was 'disguised.' We do enjoy regular potatoes for my husband feels as you. Sometimes I eat part of a sweet potato for lunch - mostly for variety while 'enjoying ;)' a low sodium diet and also nutrition. whfoods.com ;)
