You should be able to see that.

You're probably going to say Gandhi didn't surrender to the British. True, but he employed only nonviolent resistance or noncooperation. Which was effective against a basically civilized occupier but which would have amounted to abject surrender to a foe like the Nazis. Gandhi failed to make that distinction, thus his horrific advice to the British and the Jews.
