Bush came to Washington wanting to be bipartisan like he had been in TX. The national Democrats are too narrowly focused on party to put the country first. They savagely attacked Bush's prescription drug bill though it was far more generous than the previous Democratic proposals. They savagely attacked the SS reform ideas, though offering NO ideas of their own. Just two examples that don't involve foreign policy.
