This nation has always handled dissent pretty well. I don't think the fact that we are debating pulling out of Iraq would cause the Iranians to take an action that could cause us to increase our role in their neck of the woods...unless you theory is that they want us to stay in Iraq.

If they wanted us to leave so they could roll in and take over hegemony of that part of the world, just stay quiet and let the left pull our troops out. They did the opposite.

And, they took on the Brits, not us.

I think you are just too ready to read every negative event as automatically the fault of the libs. Remember, they were moving right along with their nuclear plans a year ago when the republicans were in charge of everything..and they didn't seem to slow down on whatever course they were following because American government was all republican.

If what you are saying is that no one should dissent against policies they disagree with, I dont' think that is quite the American way.
