The fact that a virus was found is not surprising, particularly when you get outside the U.S. The real issue is how well Compaq handles this, and your note looks like they are doing the right thing. Any of us who have worked with computers for any period of time know this will occur. The real issue is how they will handle it, and it looks good (as opposed to Intel's handling of cpu bugs).
