Why is it up to Israel to determine if the Palestinians have their own state? Who died and made them king?

Its up to Israel because any state would be carved out of territory that Israel controls.

Israel was attacked by Syria and Egypt but illegally occupies land from the Palestinians. Why don't you admit that Israel and the US operate by a different set of rules than the rest of the world?

Israel isn't king, but no one is king over Israel either. Israel has the most power in the situation, and has legitimate reasons to be concerned about such a state. If the Palestinians are going to get a fully independent state they are going to get it from Israel, so it would be reasonable of them, for their own self interested reasons, to provide some alleviation for those concerns. Further terrorism will only increase those concerns and move the Palestinians further away from a fully independent state.

Like I said, the Zionists moved in as interlopers and squatters, and now are the landlords. And you want the Palestinians to play nice nice. I wonder if you would feel the same way had the Israelis taken over Maryland.
