Has it been considered on this board that perhaps Q will take that position that if Nokia infringes, they have violated the agreement, thereby given up Nokia's right exercise the option?

Interesting question, but seems drastic remedy when legal damages are adequate. But for the ability of NOK to exercise its option to renew, I don't see court granting equitable relief.
