Gib, When you see your country being slowly destroyed by this tribe of international criminals that have come to have such an inordinate amount of power in the world, almost total control of the media, of banking and now the military in the "lone superpower", and I do mean tribe in the fairly traditional sense, as the worst of them are associated with a certain small nation which will remain nameless, I suppose a person might be excused for slipping off the wavelength as a result of frustration, you think?
In your initial post you say that "the US" is spreading terror in the world, and I really think that this is missing the point by a great deal. Do you suppose that "the US" is alone in this endeavour? Do you believe that any other nation is assisting, even spearheading, this felony? Do you believe that it is the "whole" US, and that would include millions of folks like me, or do you think that there might be a certain element here and elswhere responsible?
And seems to me you place far too much blame on Bush and his cabal for the disaster. This has been a very long term work in progress, long before Bush 43 or even his father. There is a certain element that desires chaos in the middle east and it is plain to see how this serves particular national interests, though not those of the US, and all a person needs to do is to look at a map of the region and reflect on the course of event in the modern era there.
And then there is globalism which must have cheap oil to function, and which is linked in a powerful way to particular national interests, though not those of the US. I suppose it is no wonder things are like they are.
As for the Helengrad remarks, I borrowed this from Maurice, and just thought it funny, though it probably misses the point a great deal. Compared to Maurice, with his libertarian philosophy, Helen Clark would seem like a Bolshevik, and with the Bolshevik habit of re naming great cities for their bandit leaders, well, it just strikes a funny bone. I suppose Helen Clark is a European style collectivist of the traditional sort, and whatever her faults, is in no logical way connected to the Iraq discussion.
But I don't really know. I am sure she is an internationalist, but is she also a free trade globalists? Slagle
