If the Iranians decide they want to play in the air or ground, they will be sorely misguided but we're talking about unreasonable people who terrorize their very own; so who knows. They wouldn't be missed. The more interesting question from the US Military POV, is what the Iranians might do with high performance torpedoes in the water. An aircraft carrier would be a disaster to lose.
