His testimony was crucial in painting the picture of Saddam gaining chemical and bio-warfare capabilities. Unfortunately, all of the evidence that he was just making it all up was suppressed. In addition, the Office of Special Plans, which generated much of the faulty intelligence, was created after 9/11. So there was a lot of new "intelligence" which was created to make Saddam look worse than he actually was.
