Nice post j.

You've really summarized the viewpoint of most here. It's frustrating as Q shareholders to have companies like NOK and BRCM simply not agree to pay the small royalty for the enabling tech that allows them to make so much money. But that's an indication of just how much dough there is to be had over the next few years -- one or two percent difference would be huge bottom line even after millions in legal costs.

Everyone knows these are simply negotiating tactics but it will be interesting to see how far NOK wants to push their business into legal limbo before caving into some great new face saving offer from the Q.

Somehow I've gotten the impression that Q has something clever up their sleeve -- which NOK may or may not be aware -- possibly related to why Q has decided to not buy back shares over the last six months. When all this started a year ago PJ talked about "all options" open including something like Spinco but different than that original plan. The next quarterly cc should be much more interesting than most.
