Saying that the a result of Iranians not following the Geneva conventions for captured British military is that the British will not feel compelled to follow them for Iranian military is not the same as scrapping the GCs. You'd suggestion no penalty? The GC are a restiction on British activity, but not on the other side's activity? In other words, they're just a big disadvantage?
