Yes and no. The real problem is and was Bush's dishonesty and incompetence regarding diplomacy, war and counter-terrorism. I think Kerry defended his vote during the campaign so as not to fall into the phony but effective political spin trap the GOP were laying (flipflopper, weak on defense). I'm sure it pissed Kerry off. He has since renounced that vote. Kerry however did want to make sure Saddam was disarmed and have the THREAT of force to back up the searches. Bottomline, Bush lied and cheated his way back into the White House and totally blew it in Iraq through pisspoor planning, corruption and creonyism. I'm sure now it was almost all for a big fat oil deal.
