If gasoline supplies to Iran are threatened seriously, I think Iran will quickly back down and release the hostages. After all, a cutoff of gasoline would cause serious domestic problems for Iran. This is the fundamental reason to expect oil prices to peak shortly and come back down. Iran has quite a bit of oil......don't they produce their own gas?
