In ANY medical system, there has to be a rationing mechanism; otherwise, medical costs can eat the entire GNP. The only question is how the rationing is done.

You'd better pay attention; I think we're a lot closer to a socialized medical system than most people believe. If we're lucky, we get something like the British system thay has parallel public and private systems; if not, like the Canadian where there is only the socialized system.

And yes, it's a slippery slope you keep sliding further and further down. And you soon find that, while all animals are equal, some are more equal than others. A Commissar did not have to put up with what Ivan Ivanovich did.
