Paul,

... Cyrix sold about $126,500,000 worth of bonds in 1996...

A good question is - Was the 6x86MX worth $126,500,000?

How much of the 126 mil was new debt, how much was rollover of old debt?
How much of the money has actually been spent and how much of it made it to cash on hand category?
How many CPU designs (or refinements) has Cyrix developped in this timeframe?

Suppose $40 mil. was spent on 6x86MX. To me it was well worth it. Remember AMD paid over 500 million for K6, and I guess Intel spent multiple of than on P6 and it's derivatives.
