Ian, "Do you believe the masses envy Tiger Woods for his vast riches and growing income just because he can hit a little white ball with a big stick?" Actually I do believe that,as I do believe they envy O.J. Simpson for hitting a little white ball and being rich. In a society based on materialism,and two dimentional icons,morality has gone the way of the Do Do Bird. You cannot legislate morality,but without it the fabric of society will ultimately tear beyond repair,and this country will cease to be one nation under God. Actually our perversion with profits in stock trading,rather than building companies and running them,and also the growth of governmentally encouraged gambling has had a part in it. I believe that Megabucks and other state run gambling games,are a leach sucking the life out of us. Hiram p.s. is this a forum for soap box philosophers?
