yeah REALLY. Look at the S&P, or any major broadbased index. And remember average market returns are 10% per year. Even if you fiddle with the numbers as you are doing, we have had AT MOST a 100 pt gain in the S&P for Bush's entire term. Using the day he was elected vs today, we are DOWN. Compare that to Clinton or Reagan. Combine that pathetic S&P performance with a 47% decline in the dollar and you have a fiscal nightmare. Which is why Bush has been left for dead by even republicans now. How long will it take to clean up the mess, is my only question. We were well positioned for the baby boom retirement- Bush blew through that like a bat out of hell. Now as a nation we are BROKE.
