Politics doesn't belong here, I agree. Modern medicine saved my life. Had I used holistic.............I wouldn't be here today. Prescription dugs are another story all together. Type I diabetics would die if not for insulin. Drug companies have huge investments in any product............it also has to be proven on many fronts to be effective. Holistic medicine has no such monitors as the FDA. Nothing is perfect but it's the best we can do for now. I would consider myself to be negligent if I didn't advocate for what is proven by scientific methods under very high standards using tight parameters. People with cancer that chase after holistic cures will be giving up the best chance at life................it's not perfect but it has proven to work and save lives. It can also prolong life in cases where the cancer is far advanced. Modern medicine isn't easier on all fronts............tell a chemo patient that he took the "easiest" course of action and see what response he or she gives you.
