Thank you Shoot1st for posting that.

We all can disagree but I would hope that we can agree to disagree and that it won't permit this thread to disintegrate into what some other threads do which is all political..

I know we all have our ideas about universal health care.
Last night 60 Minutes did a segment on how the vote for not allowing Medicare to negotiate the price of pills with the Drug companies came about at 1 am in the morning. 15 of those
who voted for not permitting this are now lobbyists for the Drug companies and making two million a year.

The VA on the other hand can negotiate the price of drugs..
Example.. A pill from one company can cost 125.00 to the VA and 325.00 for Medicare who cannot negotiate

There were something like 120 Drug companies with lobbyists there in the chambers and the voting machine which is supposed to close in 15 minutes stayed open 3 hours. Obviously
it was all political and the RX companies made out.

This is some topic that could be debated here and here would obviously be pros and cons as each of us has an opinion. I think that it is a disgusting display of how pressure can be brought on our representatives by lobbyists who can spend millions to influence a vote even with pay backs for after their political careers are over... And we as the consumer pay the bill... Or our health plans pay the bill if we are lucky enough to have one.

I don't mind an opinion or stand on issues if we can all accept that it's not going to solve anything.

Just don't take away from the sharing of our own experiences and current ones with the remedies that helped us and suggestions to others reading here.

I have all ready learned a lot here and hope others will too.

This is a sharing thread with an attempt to be HELPFUL to one another...
