I think they should include classes on the pharmacology of herbal medicines in med school. I believe EU doctors have such training, and most of the trials that you read about have been run in the EU or Japan. They are very active in this area, and there is no reason we could not be- although there is very little lobbying for it, since big pharma doesn't make big money from herbal medicine.
