laz, it was me stating Israel would drag its feet for 93 more years negotiating.
I think the current Saudi deal is the best deal Israel ever received. You've got the big Kahuna(Saudis) cracking heads all over the Middle East to get a collective agreement that "all" arab states will recognize Israel and normalize relations, in return for what really belongs to the Palestinians - their land and E. Jerusalem.....as far as the right of return, they can discuss it and probably come to terms of some kind of compensation for those displaced. So, the Israelis should grab it since the US is a declining Imperial power (they won't decline quickly but they will decline), and Israel will someday be negotiating from a position of weakness or at some later date w/o the guardianship of the US, the world may decide for a "one" state solution with both Israel/Pals occupying one democratic state and that ends the Jewish identity of the state. That's why Israel better really think long and hard before jerking around with this offer. a9
