<<Global response against the US..? I doubt it.. count the number of countries which have been invaded after they acquire nukes....it's zero>>

... no invasion is called for. Merely a nuke-backed, Euro/Yen/Yuan/Ruble/Gold enforced delegitimization of USD ought to do the trick. The empire's life blood is its money; end the money and so goes the empire, for the emperor has no clothing.

<<revolution ... rather unlikely in the timeframe "we are promised drama for the next two decades in all cases" you outline (In my opinion..)>>

... revolution also does not need to be civil war or blood on the street. It can be as simple as the majority electorially rob the minority, by creating laws that authorizes same.

and as to ... <<I don't believe the "have nots" (The US version of which on average have more goodies than 80% of the rest of the world..) will unite against the haves. At least not for revolution>>

you make the have-nots of the USA sound like girly men, which they most assuredly are not.

If revolutions are possible in Greece, then they are even more possible in USA.

<<trashing the constitution ... A US past time... depends upon who's in power>>

... this time it may well be very different. It feels different, especially when observed after stepping back a bit more.

About ... <<If you mean the Neo-Cons I don't even think they know how to go about what they want now.... nope.. it's a dead letter.. for them>>

... they knew exactly what they wanted, a theocracy, and set about to establish one, is succeeding, and just picking up momentum. They are even better organized than most communist parties of most geographies. Methodical, dedicated, well financed, faithful, and fearless. The fact that they are unlearned, badly educated, but well trained and ignorant morons does not make them automatic failures.
