Why UMAX? via MacOSRumors >Part of the overall cost cutting goal is to farm out graphic card design to ATI, motherboards to UMAX and misc specialized cards to Radius. This is part of Jobs strategy to get Apple out of direct hardware R & D and concentrate on software R & D and system integration.
