Let me ask you something personal in a public way: You seem to think the we Americas are racists and murdered the Indians and all that stuff. OK...

In your country you have a minority race who were also the indigenous people there. Do you now have any close personal friends who are Maori? Did you have close Maori friends when you were young, guys or gals? Did you go to their houses or date or even double date with Maoris when you were younger, and share with them your social life?

Now I come from the deep south and an "Old South" family if there ever was one. Yet in my high school, which was integrated on voluntary basis years before the feds required it, my best friend was a black guy, we played in a band together, double dated, he played basketball and was accepted by everybody, black and white. He is still my friend. And this way back in the 1960's when we white "Georgia Crackers" were supposed to be lynching the blacks instead of riding around with them looking for girls. <grin>

I am married to a gal who is of essentially the same race as a Maori, a Malay. My GG grandmother was a Cherokee.

A few months ago I loaned a very nice 2003 model truck to my neighbor across the street, who is a black man, and he kept it for three weeks free of charge. His truck was wrecked and he needed something to drive. I live in a very nice neighborhood.
