Gerald,why stop it? Why not try to develop better technology over it. The companies who try to maintain margins through proprietary products have been abject failures in technology over the last 20 years,Wang,DEC,AAPL,IFMX. Those companies that move and adapt to new technologies and keep them open are the winners.
