Rumblings of a mid-tier gold producer on the ropes due to non-recourse loans embedded derivatives covenants being violated along the lines of balance sheet ratios triggering calls on the loans...said rumblings are swirling in the marketplace according to one pundit... Comes from one whose prior "headszup's" have "panned out"...aka appears to be a reliable source. Said pundit has in the past, been loathe to put forth a name until it is more common knowledge. Don't know about you, but I'm staying tuned...I remember the vaulting PoG when Ashanti/Cambior bit the dust--what, 9 years ago thanks to Long Term Capital Management black box blow-up which took down the Scholes trader of Black-Scholes fame. Always wondered what happened to him...anyone hear of Scholes after that tortuous financial tsunami? G_T
