Lindy, re Congressional visit by Pelosi and co to Assad and Syria etc, they are the ones who decide on war, NOT the president. So, ipso facto, casus belli, of course Nancy should go and measure up the enemy of freedom, love, Exxon and Ronald McDonald.

It is absurd for Congress to declare war if they don't know much at all about the enemy. That's a recipe for disaster. Speaking of which, there was another war declared a few years ago which turned out to be less than successful so far. There was obviously too much ignorance in the decision to start a war there.

Watching Assad waving his arms flat out talking to Pelosi, he seemed to be impressed and wanting to avoid conflict with the USA.

Anyway, mixed messages are good in the middle east. It's a good cop bad cop routine they are playing - Bush/Pelosi. Plus the USA is a bundle of mixed messages and shifting sands, so why pretend otherwise? It's just self-deception to pretend there's a unified message.
