"what makes you think it was "bloodless"? It only served to embolden Iran, and we shall see how that plays out." It was bloodless because no blood was shed. I am sure it is possible to claim any event at any time between any parties "emboldens" some kind of future action. Don't you think that this event has also allowed Britain and the U.S. to do additional contingency planning against the next event, should there be one? Don't you think the total screwup in Iraq has "emboldened" others to act badly? Causality is such a slippery slope... I'll take the release as a positive event and the quiet steps taken behind th scenes as worthy of praise.
