Clearly one more science ignoramus spouts. A black surface will heat faster and cool faster. A white surface will heat more slowly and cool more slowly. In the time frame of day a black surface will freeze or frosh over far far more quickly than a white surface.

One of the most white reflective surfaces is ice crystals. And ice crystals thousands of feet up in the atmosphere make great reflectors of all solar energy back into space.

And when all those ice crystals form their heat of vaporization energy also goes thru the very thin atmosphere back into space as infrared radiation.
