to fathom next 14 years, look back to past 14 until 1992. That's what I usually do.

How much changed in the past 14 years? That gives an idea of the pace of change. In an stable country like Canada, it will not change too much in the next 14 years.

You can devise a major trend: more economic trade with China, much less trade with the US.

When you go to smaller trends, then it becomes more difficult to see the future.

In the case of unstable countries it is much much harder to predict
