Israel did everything it could to keep jordan out of the war. Israel at that pre-likud time didnt want the West Bank or Gaza. Israel begged Hussein not to commit military suicide but he joined the arabs. It was said he would have been overthrown if he hadnt. As far as the June war goes, it was egypt that brought the mideast to the brink. Israel took out the arab forces before a major war broke out. 6 days was far better than 6 months. A few thousand dead was far better than a long war.
