So Congress should not be allowed to determine foreign situations for themselves? Just get information from the executive branch

Congress can go on fact finding tours, yes. Pelosi wasn't on a fact finding trip, she was on a "I'm as big as the President and I'm doing my own foreign policy" trip. It usurps a specifically delegated power of the Executive. May seem silly to you, but it has served us well for over 200 years.
