m- French Canadians are like English Canadians. One doesn't mistake them for being French or English true enough. the quebecois are a breed unto themselves. they do not claim to be 'french' as in from france, but quebecois as in from french canada. big difference. and legitimate as far as i'm concerned. the only reason they have not separated is because of shenanigans played on the part of ottawa to defeat the referendum. quebec would fare far better without canada than canada would fare without quebec imho. but all that is a canuck domestic issue hardly sponge worthy, so to speak, of time and consideration on this august thread. besides which, i'm all tapped out and have nothing further to add to the subject <g>. down deep, i really am very shallow. -r
