I frequently read what you post and find it entertaining and thought provoking .
Although my family owns 3 cell phones and pays for hi speed internet access, if we had to choose between them and having a car or heating our house it would be a no brainer.
The decline of Pittsburgh has less to do with steel then it does with unions, and cheaper ways of producing steel in other countries. Mass, where I live now, has seen the same with textiles. Remember Berkshire Hathaway used to be a textile mfg. People still wear clothes.

Now the day i can order food on my cell phone and it comes right out of it steaming i may change my mind.
