My mother gave me some "sleeping" poison as a youngster because I'd wake up. I consider that criminal to do to a baby/infant. Brains need proper development and poisoning sleep and wake processes is the way to stop brain development. Then there was lead everywhere. My father used to spray apples with the stuff then feed them to us. No wonder the Flynn Effect exists. Stop destroying infant brains and watch intelligence increase. Mq, FWIW, your intelligence does not seem to have been stunted from your mother giving you "sleeping poison."
