30% of the Arctic Ice Cap has melted thanks to GW, exposing the sea, which is essentially a blacker body than the ice. A greater portion of the solar energy is absorbed by the seas than would be by the ice. Some of the absorbed heat in the waters is transfered to the air currents, most of it is retained (not reflected back into space). Not only does the sea warm at an accelerated rate as more and more ice melts, but so does the air and surface in the arctic regions.

The point of GW is that less and less heat is lost to space as the CO2 concentration increases.
