The guy was/is an absolute idiot. The statements he makes are reminiscent of the religious zealots who show a complete lack of brainwave activity. Locking him up is required because his stupidity poses a clear and present danger to humanity. Regardless of the outcome he should be sterilized so he cannot continue to pass his stupidity gene on in the gene pool. Hopefully they have already done that.
