In that case, it was certainly amazing, how well and quickly their Postwar ties developed...you don't deny that Baathists and al Qaeda have been closely joined in the Sunni insurgency, do you?

Isn't this whole discussion rather pointless now? Instead of the 37th round of "Bush Lied!" "Did not!" "Did too!", wouldn't it be more useful to discuss the role of al Qaeda in the current situation?
