But we were talking about inventions.

Sure, if the Chinese make the mistake of abusing our trust in them and respect for them, they can steal some intellectual property, and maybe even get away with it once or twice.

But nobody in their right mind would keep entrusting trade secrets and intellectual property to thieves.

But honestly I think dreaming of stealing intellectual property is the way thugs and gangsters and other unworthy people talk, not good businessmen who want to have good products to sell.
