Corcept Completes Private Placement Monday April 2, 12:42 pm ET Corcept Therapeutics Completes Private Offering of Common Stock NEW YORK (AP) -- Pharmaceutical company Corcept Therapeutics Inc. said Monday it completed the private placement of 9 million shares of common stock for $1 per share. The investors were led by Paperboy Ventures LLC, Sutter Hill Ventures, Alta Partners LLP, venture capital firms and members of Corcept's board of directors. The company said it will use the proceeds to fund clinical trials, including preparing for the next Phase III study on Corlux, an experimental treatment for psychotic major depression. Shares of Corcept rose 17 cents, or 19 percent, to $1.07 on the Nasdaq Stock Market in midday trading.
