John, I could visualize you and your longeared wooden dog.....He must have been well loved by you! I also remember the cap pistols....we thought it was such fun to run and chase through the fields playing cops and robbers or some such....Of course, the real rule we all had was never point the toy guns at anyone.... We all did something really dumb though, and it's a wonder we're all just fine.... Remember those red cap strips that went into the toy gun> We used to take them out and pound each one of the caps with a rock, so we could hear the noise each little grey speck made... None of us had even a speck of anything wrong with us from doing that little exercise....but maybe the grey dots weren't filled with much of anything too bad.
