Laz, I lived there when it really and truly WAS the Golden State. It self-destructed, just as the cream will rise to the top until it sours. I am glad to be gone. I like it where I am. Who knows? With all the Californians moving in here, the same thing is very likely to happen. I hope it does not in my lifetime. If it does, I think I'll be giving serious consideration to Wyoming or Idaho or South Dakota--maybe even a rural part of this state (if such still exists then). - Holly
