Have to agree, Kafka, that this is the most probable scenario. The actual "facts" of the situation may never be fully clarified. But you can bet the lawsuits will go on for years and the lawyers will make a lot of money.

Development stage biotechs are risky enough as it is; the risk for IPIC has just increased geometrically.

IMO, that is a good enough reason not to own the stock. I wouldn't short it, but I sure wouldn't buy it.
