I agree with you on some of the generalizations. Largely, I found the rest to resonate. It goes, in part, as a reply to questions about dual loyalty that have been aimed at American Jews who are concerned with the survival of Israel but whose first loyalty is to the USA. It just so happens, because of the nature of the ME, that Israeli and Western ( yes, of course, primarily the USA ) interests happen to coincide. And at the risk of repeating myself, ad nauseum, if you peak beneath the surface, those interests are shared by the likes of Jordan, Egypt, the UAE and the Islamic states in the very northern tier of Africa. lazarre
