Really, 'old' has something to do with that decision?

(I was suggesting that he might be considering a slot on the ticket as V.P., largely because - as the article mentioned - a candidate for the top slot really needs to collect around $50 million or so by this fall to be even *in* the game... and Thompson doesn't seem to have made any moves yet in the direction of going full-bore soliciting contributions.)

Again, as the article pointed out, one of the FEW policies that Thompson is remembered for is being one of only a handful of Republicans to get ENTHUSIASTICALLY behind the McCain campaign finance reform bill!

Believe they are old friends....
