The fish are kept caged in a fresh water canal [that I helped construct 35 years ago], fed on fake food and dye [so they are the right colour]. The oil is canola instead of wild fish oils. Real salmon... lucky you. I've never come across anything out of the ocean which doesn't taste good, so I expect hagfish is delicious if cooked the right way. Eels are delicious. I haven't eaten any ocean mammals, but I guess they too would be very nice = Japanese seem to think so. Mqurice
