i guess your vote is do away with catholic charities , who do handle various function including adoptions. do away with salvation army, oh, not do away with them but tax any money donated to them that they in turn move perhaps a lot cheaper and more efficient than gov. The first assistance given of any real measure were the churches around new Orleans. i wonder how many would survive if they had to pay taxes on their assets, donations.

Why do you tie the survival of churches to their ability to give tax receipts? I would actually be happy if they went half way and either taxed income, or property, I think the time for no taxes is past.
