Pat, Imo, Imus' remark could cause uncalculatable future harm as statements like that from a NATIONALLY known figure ENABLES people with racist tendencies to speak like that and cause more divisiveness in our society.. At all levels, from grade school, high school, college and all through adult life. "Well Imus calls them that, why can't I?" Then they laugh, even if it hurts people. "I can apologize and everything will be fine".. But it won't be, as apologies are cheap to many people.. m
