AQ has morphed into a flat, (almost) leaderless org with an ever increasing base Leaders.... Well, Qutb's "Milestones" are available online for free - anyone can study his works and become a preacher and a leader. All the intellectual and ideological supports are readily available - for free, or at a very moderate cost. Here is page 1 (of 24) that comes up on Amazon under a search for "qutb". amazon.com Must be a wonderful opportunity for many - in a matter of days any guy with a functioning cortex can change from a dumba$$ failure trying to survive in the world - and into a true believer, and a peerless leader of warriors who are fighting to fulfill God's will. Nice. Add to that the promise of paradise in the future, as an icing on the cake. Taking out a few thousand servers would not stop anything; servers are cheap. What would make participation in such movements unattractive would be pressure from Muslim organisations and the public - and from their civil and clerical authorities. But such pressure does not seem to be forthcoming.
